Getting Good Glow!
The other day we got an enquiry from a customer who had bought several of our posters, and wanted to get the maximum glow possible from them.

After allowing them to soak up lots of light on a sunny day, she was anticipating great things when it got dark (and rightly so!).

However, when it did get dark, she discovered that the effect was hard to see...How disappointing! Why had this happened? And what could she do?

The solution was very simple...

Cosmic star posters (and cosmic star ceilings) work by soaking up daylight during the day and, when fully charged, they release that light when it starts to get dark. In the summertime, when it gets dark very gradually, as it does in this part of the world, the effect can sometimes be fainter. The best way to explain it is that the paint is gradually releasing the light it has collected as it gradually goes dark, so when it finally does go fully dark, the light being emitted is much lower because the poster has already been releasing the light stored for a number of hours.

Additionally, the room will need to be as dark as possible to get the full effect - if light is coming into the room either from streetlighting or another light source, the effect will be diminished.

In order to combat this summertime problem (obviously in the winter it goes darker at a much faster rate) we suggest the following:

When the room is in complete darkness, turn on the bedroom lighting and allow the poster to soak up the artificial light for about 15 minutes. Then turn off the light and the poster should be fully charged and will now release the light over the next few hours - the effect that you see should be much brighter!

And did it work?

"Yes! I tried it and it worked much better, the pictures are lovely!"

Another happy customer!
