Q Can the Starz Ceiling effect be painted onto any ceiling? A Yes, any ceiling can be given the 'Starz Ceilings' treatment as long as the ceiling is white or light in colour. It can be painted onto a smooth or textured surface. Q How is the Starz Ceiling effect created? A The techniques used are highly specialised and top secret! Q Do you have to paint the ceiling black? A Most definitely not! This is a common misconception. The effect is blended into your existing ceiling. Q How long does it take to create a Starz Ceiling? A Depending on the size of the room, a small bedroom can be completed in approximately three hours. Q How long does the paint take to dry? A The paint dries very quickly. By the time the ceiling is finished, most of it is already dry. Q Can it be seen during the day? A All the paints dry to a milky white colour, so are virtually invisible in daylight. You will not know it is there until it goes dark. Q Do you only paint bedrooms? A Absolutely not! A Starz Ceiling can be painted in any room in the house - including bathrooms! It's also ideal in sensory rooms, nightclubs and anywhere else you might want to bring a little bit of the night sky indoors! Q How long will a 'Starz Ceiling' last for? A Once painted, a ceiling will still glow as brightly in twenty years as it did when it was first painted. Q How far will you travel to do a Starz Ceiling for me? A We're based in Lancashire, but happy to travel to create a Starz Ceiling for you. If you live a long way from Lancashire, additional travel expenses would be worked into the costing of your Starz Ceiling. Q For how many hours will it glow? A When the ceiling is 'charged' by either sunlight, artificial light or UV light, it will glow for up to twelve hours. Q Are the paints you use safe? A The paints are water-based and are non-toxic and non radio-active! Q Can I paint over my Starz Ceiling at a later date? A In the unlikely event that you want to paint over your Starz Ceiling, two coats of regular emulsion should ensure that the glow-paint does not show through.
